Alexander Oaks has grown up living, working and playing in Stark County and now is building a happy and prosperous adult life in his hometown. He is a graduate of GlenOak High School, where he first met the MentorStark team in his high school business program and became a believer in the power of relationships. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree with a dual major of sports management and finance at Walsh University where he played defensive end for the Walsh Cavaliers, served as a resident assistant, and launched his career as a high school basketball referee. A college internship with Northwestern Mutual turned into a career opportunity following graduation and Alex spent two years as a financial representative helping his book of clients, including many current and former athletes, build and follow plans to achieve financial freedom and generational wealth. He is now pursuing his passion for officiating, refereeing basketball at both the high school and college level. He is excited to build relationships through his Board position with MentorStark with local young people and contribute to the health and well-being of everyone in the community.
